Christopher / 20 / Senior / Loyola University New Orleans / Music Industry Studies / Raise the bar so high the bar is afraid to look down
I remember 95 like it was just yesterday
That I was living life, hoping for a better day
Rapid City, northside, sharpening my foresight
Parents leaving home, keeping on the porch light
Mama runs away, daddy hits a bar
All I ever did was wish upon a star
Carrying my cross, my name is Christopher
Persevere and carry on when life is miserable
I’m the black sheep of a family that couldn’t understand me
Now my dad sleeps, mom fucks up everything around me
2012 is hell, still have the same struggles
Sometimes all we need is someone to love us
And that’s real
I wanna ask people what’s their fucking deal
People never change, only the location
I will never lose anything except my patience
You already know
Kicking the concepts with Concept yo
A man who always questions what life is handing him
If words are weapons I will happily brandish them
refreshinglyclassic asked:
I think it's caring about someone more than yourself while still staying true to yourself (i.e. not being a doormat- cuz that's respecting someone else more than yourself, which u should NEVER do!). It's also mutual. Which is why you can love someone but not be a good match together. True love follows the golden rule: treat your lover how you want to be treated.
This was an answer to the “what is love” post from a couple weeks back
